The Rector

I am a teacher by profession with experience of over 34 years in teaching and research, man power management, technology transfer and few outreach extension activities ( society welfare scheme ). I started my career as a lecturer in chemistry in Mangaldai College after completion of my M.Sc. in Chemistry in 1979. Then I joined North Lakhimpur College at the same category in September, 1991. I joined Gauhati University as a Reader in the Dept. of Environmental Science in November, 1999 and promoted the rank of Professor in the same department in 2009. During the last few years of my service I got the following opportunities to serve the university and other communities in different capacities -

Educational Qualifications : M.Sc. Organic Chemistry special (GAU), M.Phil. in Environmental Science (GAU), Ph.D. Chemistry (GAU)

Specialization: Organic Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Pollution, Analytical Methods for Environmental Monitoring.
