Joined  Gauhati University as Lecturer in the Dept of Statistics in Oct 1996.

Served Cotton College, Guwahati as Lecturer in Statistics from Feb 1995 to Oct 1996.

Served SIDBI (Small Industries Development Bank of India) as Staff Officer Grade A from 1991 to Jan 1995 (SIDBI was then the Apex level financial institution in the Small Scale sector as per SIDBI Act of Govt. of India).
