As Associate Professor in History, responsibility handled in this incumbency is academic in nature. It involves planning, organising, teaching and evaluation of courses in various aspects of history. Currently teaching courses on State Formation and Polity of Medieval Assam, Colonial Northeast India and a course on Ethnohistory.

2007, Translated two Dimasa short stories titled Sainkhlim (Shade) and Jbah (War) into Assamese for publication under a project by Sahitya Academi. One of the story has been published in the souvenir brought out to mark the occasion of the Annual Session of the Asom Sahitya Sabha held at Baithalangso in 2010 edited by Dr. Upen Rabha Hakasam.
