- We are developing methods for the synthesis of self-assembled organic and metal-organic ensembles, using the tools of supramolecular chemistry, to create stimuli-responsive materials for chemical, biological and environmental applications.
- Identifying new luminescent organic materials that show interesting chemical and physical properties is a major research interest. Our group uses experimental and computational chemistry tools to develop organic molecular materials that could be used for information storage, sensor and photonic applications.
- Supramolecular chemistry of anionic species is an underlying theme of our research, with focus on receptor design, anion/molecular recognition, and sensing.
